Hello visitors. My name is Andrew DeVitre and I am about to be a graduate from the University of Rhode Island (URI) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Throughout my time at URI, I have had the opportunity to complete one internship at Flickers: The Rhode Island International Film Festival. Having an internship has allowed me to utilize all that I have learned in the classroom and apply those skills to the workforce. My internship has ranged from working with international film-makers around the world, to meeting with dozens of local vendors in the Providence area in hopes to receive items for our silent auction event, to planning one of our company fundraisers of the 2012 year (Oscar Night America). My portfolio will display some of my greatest accomplishments during my most recent internship with Flickers, including my learning contract and evidence that I have completed my set objectives.
